CVG improves traveler experience with Losant at 7.8 million annual passengers

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) sought to improve the passenger experience by addressing a common point of confusion: its indoor terminal train. Travelers were unsure whether to wait for the train or walk and were sometimes confused about its purpose. To tackle this challenge, CVG partnered with Losant and implemented a proof of concept using the Losant Enterprise IoT Platform.

CVG installed sensors in the train tunnel and connected them to the Losant platform via cellular gateways. This solution provided the data needed to create user-friendly dashboards on large monitors. These displays show passengers the train's real-time location, estimated wait times, and walking times, enabling them to make informed decisions. The successful proof of concept enhanced the traveler experience and is part of CVG's broader strategy to innovate with technology.
