The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) faced a significant challenge with passenger confusion over its indoor terminal train. Travelers were unsure whether to wait for the train or walk, and some misunderstood its purpose. To address this, CVG partnered with Losant and implemented a proof of concept using Banner Q45 sensors and the Losant Enterprise IoT Platform.

Using data from IoT sensors, Losant's solution provided the real-time train location and estimated walking times. This data was displayed on large monitors at boarding stations, allowing passengers to make informed decisions. Following this success, the airport plans further innovations with Losant to improve TSA scheduling and reduce wait times.
