GasLog Keeping onshore and offshore staff connected with LoopUp

GasLog Ltd, a leading global liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping company with 35 vessels and over 1,800 onshore and offshore staff, faced operational complexity and rising costs from fragmented telephony across its international offices. After LoopUp worked with GasLog to deploy on‑premises Skype for Business, GasLog chose to move to cloud telephony and Microsoft Teams to add document sharing, group messaging and full enterprise calling, with LoopUp engaged as the managed service provider.

LoopUp designed and executed a phased migration to Microsoft Teams using Microsoft Phone System and Direct Routing over LoopUp’s premium voice network, completing the rollout across five offices and 35 vessels in three weeks with no service interruptions. The move consolidated multiple voice providers into a single managed service, enabled staff to make and receive external calls from any device worldwide, and drove rapid adoption of Teams for voice, chat and collaboration—significantly improving connectivity for offshore crews and remote workers.
