Kontorsmagasinet, an online retailer of office supplies, wanted to understand how its on-site search was affecting conversion and revenue. The company partnered with Loop54 to test whether improving search relevance and related results could boost performance.
Loop54 implemented an A/B split test comparing its search engine with Kontorsmagasinet’s original search, while keeping layout, filters, autocomplete, and design the same. The results were strong: within 35 days, Kontorsmagasinet saw a 13% increase in e-commerce revenue and a 29% lift in conversion rate from search visits, while AOV from visitors who used search was 75% higher and conversion from search visits reached 5x that of non-search visits.
