Case Study: Walton EMC improves cash management and employee safety with Loomis SafePoint Titan smart safes

A Loomis Case Study

Preview of the Walton EMC Case Study

SafePoint by Loomis increases accuracy and accountability and reduces employee risk for an employee-owned utility co-op

Walton EMC, a Georgia-based electric membership cooperative, handled a high volume of cash across three payment centers and relied on daily bank runs and third-party cash pickups to move deposits and change. This process was labor-intensive, exposed employees to safety risks, and created cash exposure while funds sat waiting for pickup.

To solve this, Loomis implemented the SafePoint® Titan X smart safe with a Bulk Coin and Note Dispenser at each payment center. The solution automated cash handling, eliminated daily bank runs, improved employee safety, provided provisional credit for deposited cash, and gave Walton EMC better visibility, accuracy, and accountability through Loomis Direct—helping speed drawer closeouts, reduce excess cash in tills, and improve cash flow and working capital.
