StubHub, the ticket resale and exchange marketplace, faced scalability and reliability challenges running Oracle applications and databases in its legacy environment. Looker helped StubHub migrate to Google Cloud Bare Metal Solution powered by Intel, enabling auto scaling, stronger security controls, better monitoring, and reuse of existing Oracle licenses. The move delivered a 64% performance improvement for Oracle workloads, reduced management overhead, and let StubHub run about 1,000 production machines, 500 non-production machines, and 14 database machines supporting 96 cores and four TBs of data.
