PDX + Looker Helping Pharmacies to Help Patients

PDX, a 30-year market leader in pharmacy management serving more than 10,000 U.S. pharmacies, faced growing limitations in reporting: most outputs were text-based, clients stored their own data in separate warehouses, and pharmacists lacked easy visual tools to analyze operational data. CIO Todd Crosslin sought a more efficient, visual way to present data so customers could get timely, actionable insights.

PDX embedded Looker (with ETL and Snowflake as “Explore X”) into its platform to create a customizable in-house analytics tool that was quick to deploy. The rollout gave pharmacies self-service visualizations to slice and dice financial and operational data—uncovering metrics like data-entry times and staff error rates—driving broader adoption (expected to reach over three-quarters of customers) and helping pharmacies make better decisions for patient care and operations.
