Hive Ventures Enabling a connected food ecosystem from farm to table with Google Cloud

Hive Ventures, a Thailand-based food ecosystem platform founded in 2018, needed a scalable and secure way to connect suppliers, restaurants, and customers while handling fast-growing transaction volumes. The company also wanted better visibility into operations and data-driven insights across its apps, including Hive Marketplace, Hive Restaurant Intelligence (RI), and Spoonwalk.

Using Looker as part of its Google Cloud stack, Hive Ventures built a microservices architecture on Google Kubernetes Engine and simplified analytics with Looker Studio. The solution enabled Hive Ventures to run up to 3,000 transactions per second on GKE without downtime, process more than 100,000 transactions daily in Cloud SQL, and improve development speed, security, and reporting.
