Case Study: Frank & Oak achieves company-wide, real-time data-driven decision-making with Looker

A Looker Case Study

Preview of the Frank & Oak Case Study

Frank & Oak relies on Looker to provide insights at the moment of decision

Frank & Oak is a vertically integrated men’s clothier that sells primarily through e-commerce, with a monthly product cadence and a growing subscription offering. The company faced a classic scaling challenge: a single BI specialist supported more than 100 employees and multiple internal and external data sources, creating bottlenecks because nontechnical staff couldn’t explore or refresh data on their own.

Frank & Oak deployed Looker—using LookML, browser-based dashboards, reusable queries, and APIs to export data to R, Python, and Excel—layered on MySQL with a planned move to Redshift. The platform put drillable, self-service insights on every desktop, freed the analyst to perform advanced modeling, and drove measurable business gains: higher subscription sign-ups, faster customer purchase velocity, quicker resolution of customer issues, and broader, collaborative data-driven decision making across teams.
