Filo is a US-based online education platform serving students in 15 countries, offering live tutoring within 60 seconds. As its user base grew rapidly across India and beyond, the startup faced latency and scalability challenges on its original cloud provider, making it hard to support real-time video tutoring and expansion.

Filo migrated to Google Cloud Platform with help from partner Searce, using Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud CDN, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Vision AI, and Google Workspace. Google Cloud Platform enabled zero-downtime migration, near-zero latency, autoscaling to more than 4 million users, data growth from 100 GB to 1.5 TB, and about 60% lower cloud computing costs, while also improving safety and operational efficiency through AI filtering and automation.
