Case Study: Fitness platform OneFit achieves a data-driven culture and faster, automated reporting with Looker

A Looker Case Study

Preview of the OneFit Case Study

Empowering a data-driven culture with a modern data stack at OneFit

OneFit is a fitness-membership platform that gives members access to hundreds of gyms and classes across cities. Facing fragmented data in spreadsheets, CSVs and disparate databases, the company lacked a single source of truth and well-defined KPIs, which made reporting slow (ad hoc requests could take up to two weeks) and hampered operational decision-making.

OneFit built a modern data stack using Google BigQuery to consolidate ~20 data sources and Looker (LookML) as the BI layer, enabling centralized business logic, automated investor reporting, city-level demand heat maps, and a Zendesk integration for instant “member close-up” views. By training data ambassadors and democratizing access, a six-person data team drove adoption in under 18 months—today 83% of Looker dashboards are used weekly—delivering faster insights, actionable metrics for new market potential, and measurable operational efficiencies.
