A Looker Case Study
Casper, a New York–based sleep startup founded in April 2014 to reinvent the mattress industry, grew from one “perfect mattress” into a broad product line and international presence. As data multiplied across spreadsheets and siloed files, Excel-based workflows and disconnected analyses became slow, hard to query, and increasingly unable to scale—risking the data team becoming a bottleneck for growth.
Casper centralized its stack on Redshift (AWS), used Stitch for near‑real‑time ingestion, and adopted Looker for modeling and self‑service analytics. The change created a single source of truth and company-wide dashboards that improved inventory visibility and order‑to‑ship SLA for supply chain teams, sped decision-making, increased data adoption across the company, and freed analysts to focus on higher‑value, predictive work.
