Google Cloud Platform implemented Cloud Translation API, Speech-to-Text, and Cloud Vision API to power Hi Translate’s translation services, expand language support from 66 to 108 languages, and enable instant voice and multi-language image translation. The move also improved reliability with zero downtime over more than six months, cut error reports by 55%, reduced translation processing time by 40%, increased user retention by 20%, and helped drive a 300% increase in app downloads while allowing Hi Translate to reduce its maintenance team from three people to one.
