Case Study: The Center for Food Integrity achieves better sustainability decision-making with Look East PR

The Center for Food Integrity brings 50+ food leaders together with Look East PR to optimize sustainability

The Center for Food Integrity, a food industry organization, faced the challenge of helping its members navigate the complex and often conflicting demands of sustainability. Many organizations struggled to establish a long-term strategy and evaluate protocols, as prioritizing one sustainability goal often created tradeoffs in another. They engaged Look East PR to develop a guiding framework for the industry.

Look East PR created a working group of industry professionals, NGOs, and academics to define the numerous sustainability attributes and potential tradeoffs. This effort resulted in the Optimizing Sustainability framework, which provides tools for setting priorities, evaluating tradeoffs, and responding to commitment requests. Look East PR then helped launch the framework at a summit attended by over 50 professionals from across the food system, including competitors. The tools are now being tested and used by leading food organizations to assist in optimizing their sustainability efforts.
