JAB Anstoetz is a third‑generation, family‑run international textile company (around 1,400 employees) that supplies high‑end carpets, upholstery and wallpaper. After migrating from mainframes to SAP BW, the company struggled with slow, error‑prone reporting based on DB2 extracts and large Excel spreadsheets and needed a frontend BI solution to give management and sales accurate, timely reports while reducing development effort.

JAB implemented arcplan Enterprise as the SAP BW frontend, giving direct access to existing data without separate storage and adding web self‑service for about 250 users. Reporting development dropped from weeks to days, management gained fast, transparent analyses (sample statistics, stock control, forecasting and exception alerts), ERP load was reduced, and the company is now preparing an upgrade to add mobile BI capabilities.
