Hailo Optimizes Its Decision Making Processes With Arcplan Enterprise

Hailo-Werk GmbH & Co. KG, a German manufacturer of ladders, safety equipment and waste bins sold in over 60 countries, needed to replace cumbersome, inflexible reporting tools that hindered fast, department-wide decision making. Growth and rising data volumes made customization and timely access to sales, controlling and marketing information increasingly difficult with their legacy PRG/Hyperion-based systems.

Hailo implemented arcplan Enterprise (integrating Oracle Essbase and IBM DB2) with support from MIP, giving about 40 users web-based access to dashboards, inventory and order data, automated price suggestions and offer generation, and purchase-price tracking. The new BI platform delivered faster, easier customization, real-time analyses that reduced stock levels, improved pricing and product-profitability insight, and significant time savings—providing sophisticated reporting and comprehensive decision support across the company.
