Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH, the network subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, needed reliable, timely reports for controlling amid a highly heterogeneous IT landscape. Financial analysts were forced to pull data from multiple systems (SQL/VBA and Oracle/Hyperion), perform manual uploads and validations, and spend excessive time on forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting.
Implementing arcplan Enterprise as the frontend for the FiDAT reporting platform (integrated with Oracle Essbase and Hyperion SmartView) centralized data access, enabled direct online forecast entry and automated calculations, and simplified budgeting and exports to Excel. The result was standardized, faster management reporting with higher automation, lower error rates and strong user acceptance across about 130 active users.
