University of Phoenix increases new degree enrollments by 3% with Lokion

The University of Phoenix, the largest for-profit university in North America, faced declining enrollment and intense competition for online adult learners. Their challenge was to rethink the new student and prospect experience. The university's CIO contacted vendor Lokion to initiate a pilot Scrum engagement based on a previous successful experience.

Lokion implemented an Agile engagement, providing an on-site coach who facilitated workshops and key events. After two months, an MVP was launched. Lokion also provided SAFe certification workshops and led the launch of three Agile Release Trains. As a result of Lokion's solution, the university saw a 3% increase in new degree enrollments, its first positive turn in eight years.
