ConveyMED launches a mobile CME app in 2020 with Lokion

ConveyMED, a next-generation podcast platform for professional medical education, faced the challenge of providing physicians with a convenient way to earn their mandatory continuing medical education (CME) credits without traveling to in-person conferences. Their goal was to create a mobile application that would allow providers to access and purchase educational podcast content from various medical associations on the go. To build this scalable native application, ConveyMED partnered with the vendor Lokion for custom mobile development services.

Lokion developed the ConveyMED mobile application using Xamarin for a native experience, with a backend built on .Net Core. The solution provided an intuitive platform for users to browse, listen, and earn credits, while also including an administrative interface for content partners. The launch of the app in 2020 was highly successful, as it met a critical need for remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lokion's work allowed ConveyMED to differentiate itself in the market with a compliant, user-centric platform that positioned the company for future growth.
