Case Study: BASF achieves faster global launches and shorter time-to-market with Lokalise

A Lokalise Case Study

Preview of the BASF Case Study

With Lokalise, there is one less thing to worry about for global solutions roll-out, says the Digital Farming team of BASF

BASF’s xarvio Digital Farming Solutions builds web, tablet and smartphone apps used in more than 100 countries and 30 languages and needed a scalable, API-driven localization workflow to replace cumbersome static JSON files. After a short PoC they adopted Lokalise (using its API, Web UI and LiveJS in‑context editor) to centralize translations for apps, marketing emails and print across a globally distributed team.

Lokalise was integrated into BASF’s development and QA pipeline so developers add translation keys, translators and subject-matter reviewers work in-context, and issues are fixed directly in the preview environment—dramatically cutting round trips and accelerating releases. The result: BASF scaled from 2 to 18 countries within months, now supports multiple local languages per market, can add roughly one market per month, and reports significantly shorter time-to-market thanks to Lokalise.
