Specialized, a US‑based global cycling brand, faced growing localization challenges as its digital footprint expanded: sales and marketing teams worldwide needed to deliver content in many languages, but the process relied on spreadsheets, Word docs and outsourced vendors, creating long translation and revision cycles and no single source of truth. To address this, Specialized evaluated tools and selected Lokalise as its centralized localization platform, leveraging integrations like CLI, API, Slack and e‑mail.

Lokalise replaced the fragmented workflow with one platform that allowed Specialized to use internal translators with domain knowledge, fall back on machine or external translators when needed, and give translators and developers easy access to content while automating processes via APIs and webhooks.
