Smartpatient, the company behind the MyTherapy mobile app, needed a reliable way to localize a health app used by patients around the world in their own languages. As the app grew from 4 to 31 languages, the team needed a translation workflow that fit directly into development and could support fast, accurate software localization. Lokalise, used with features like screenshots, tasks, translation memory, glossary, machine translation, Slack, API, and Android SDK, was chosen to meet that need.

With Lokalise, Smartpatient automated much of its localization process, allowing developers to upload and download strings easily, translators to work with more context, and the team to manage many languages efficiently. The result was the addition of 27 languages in four years, or nearly 7 languages per year, while improving consistency, reducing errors, and speeding up releases. Smartpatient says that without Lokalise, adding new languages would take much more time and require more manual effort.
