Case Study: Hipcamp achieves scalable, automated localization to accelerate expansion with Lokalise

A Lokalise Case Study

Preview of the Hipcamp Case Study

Localizing early to set the stage for scaling success

Hipcamp, the world’s largest provider of outdoor stays, was seeing rapid growth across the US, Canada and Australia and needed to localize content early to scale. With no dedicated localization team and important regional differences in spelling and terminology (e.g., “canceled” vs “cancelled,” “RV” vs “campervan”), Hipcamp selected Lokalise’s translation management platform—leveraging integrations like API, GitHub, Docker, Webhooks and design context from Figma/Sketch—to build a developer‑friendly localization workflow.

Using Lokalise as a single source of truth with features such as Screenshots, Tasks and Automations, Hipcamp automated CI/CD push/pull of modified keys, used webhooks to create pre-filled tasks and generated automatic GitHub pull requests so ops and product teams can adjust copy without blocking engineers. The outcome: developers can “pull it down and ship the code” in seconds, translation overhead and release time are dramatically reduced, and Hipcamp can more easily scale into new regions and languages thanks to Lokalise.
