A Lokalise Case Study
Arduino, a global open‑source electronics platform, needed to scale localization of its education products so schools and government partners could use them in local languages. Before switching to Lokalise’s localization management platform (with GitHub integration), Arduino’s edtech localization was slow and fragmented—about one language per product per year—and their previous TMS imposed translation limits and required separate iOS/Android projects that increased risk and developer overhead.
Lokalise enabled Arduino to centralize and automate localization, support simultaneous iOS and Android workflows, remove translation capacity limits, and integrate with GitHub. Since implementing Lokalise, Arduino’s education team (led by Gaia Castronovo) has completed roughly 60 localization projects, brought its student kit into seven languages, accelerated market entry to win grants and partnerships, and reduced developer time and costs—contributing to a sales uplift in 2019.
