Community-led localization – how Any.do nails it

Any.do, the Tel Aviv–based productivity app used by millions worldwide, faced the challenge of managing a largely community-led localization program with over 1,000 volunteer translators and dozens of target languages. Their previous TMS (Get Localization) didn’t give them the visibility, automation, or native mobile string support they needed, so they adopted Lokalise’s localization platform and API to better integrate with their development and release workflows.

Lokalise enabled Any.do to automate pulls and pushes between repositories and the TMS, support Android/iOS string formats, and manage translators via features like User Management, Project Chat, character limits, Tasks, and Integrations. The result: translations are automatically exported to Any.do’s code repository, manual work is minimized, releases are frictionless, translation quality and speed improved, and the team now efficiently oversees its 1,000+ community translators — benefits Any.do has realized using Lokalise since 2015.
