How Droplr Monitors Millions of Users with Logz.io

Droplr, a remote-collaboration company based in Bend, Oregon and Wroclaw, Poland, migrated its services to a serverless stack using AWS Lambda and CloudFront and needed a logging solution that integrated tightly with AWS, supported ELK, and required minimal maintenance. With more than half a million daily file downloads to monitor and limits to enforce, Droplr needed fast analysis of CloudFront access logs (including custom fields) to detect abusive behavior and protect bandwidth.

Droplr adopted Logz.io’s managed ELK, onboarded in under a day, and ships CloudFront logs from S3 for parsing and visualization in Kibana. Custom dashboards track downloads and alerts trigger Lambdas that automatically block abusive users. Today the IT and development teams rely on Logz.io for primary log analysis (≈5 GB/day), improving abuse detection and operations while saving the company tens of thousands of dollars per month.
