A LogRhythm Case Study
Cardiff County Council, which serves about 320,000 residents and employs roughly 18,000 people, needed to meet the UK Government Connect Secure Extranet (GCSX) and Code of Connection (CoCo) requirements for log data. Its existing manual, decentralized log process was complex and time-consuming, making compliance, auditing and network visibility difficult.
The council implemented LogRhythm’s integrated hardware and software log management solution to centrally collect and enrich logs from Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, Citrix, two‑factor authentication and firewall systems. This delivered flexible search, fast automated reporting and real‑time alerts, enabling CoCo/GCSX compliance, cutting daily audit time, improving data‑centre visibility and network performance analysis, and opening opportunities to extend monitoring to PCI DSS and internet logs.
