How Region Jämtland Härjedalen uses Logpoint to monitor IT infrastructure, protect privacy and develop best practice

Region Jämtland Härjedalen, the regional healthcare provider for about 127,000 citizens in central Sweden, faced growing risks from digital transformation: more users, networked devices and sensitive electronic medical records (Cambio COSMIC) that must comply with the Swedish Patient Data Act. To monitor infrastructure, detect misuse and improve privacy controls, the region turned to LogPoint and its SIEM capabilities.

LogPoint implemented its SIEM solution and the LogPoint Applied Analytics module to collect, aggregate and analyze logs across domain controllers, web servers and the COSMIC system, providing real‑time alerts, dashboards and predefined rules for audit reporting. As a result, Region Jämtland Härjedalen accelerated detection and response, reduced the time spent on manual log reporting, pinpointed unwanted or accidental access, improved user behaviour through targeted dashboards, and increased transparency by making access summaries available to citizens via the 1177.se portal.
