Family Building Society, an Epsom-based mutual lender, needed to replace manual log management with a scalable solution to retain log data, enable efficient forensic analysis and meet Cyber Security Plus accreditation requirements. After reviewing SIEM options, the Building Society selected LogPoint’s SIEM to provide predictable, node-based licensing and the ability to detect unknown threats and centralize logs from across their environment.

LogPoint was deployed in-house using predefined use cases to speed time-to-value, normalizing data on ingestion and delivering real-time, automated analysis and powerful cross-source search. The project halved response time to cyberthreats, delivered 70–80% savings in administrator time spent on log analysis, and gave the Society a predictable SIEM cost model; the team now plans to extend LogPoint usage with its Threat Intelligence capabilities.
