Strata Service Solutions Ltd., an IT services provider supporting three local authorities in the South West of England, needed a scalable log management and SIEM solution to secure and manage a complex VDI-based environment serving about 1,800 users and 300,000 citizens. Facing thousands of logs per minute and the need for proactive operational monitoring as well as security, Strata selected LogPoint’s SIEM for its ability to meet those demands and provide predictable, budgetable costs.

LogPoint’s node-based licensing, log normalization and scalability let Strata ingest up to 4,500 logs per second and retain data for six months to a year, producing unified security and operational alerts. The deployment improved security visibility and operational efficiency—LogPoint now pre-warns the service desk of VDI issues, supports broader operational use beyond security, and is being expanded with UEBA/ML to detect “unknown unknowns,” all while keeping costs predictable.
