A LogPoint Case Study
Matmut, a major French insurer based in Rouen, needed to improve event visibility across its entire IT architecture and shorten incident response times. To achieve this, Matmut selected LogPoint and its SIEM/log-management solution to provide a central log repository, correlated views, faster searches, threshold alerts and dashboards usable by both security and operations teams.
LogPoint implemented a staged SIEM deployment (initially covering ~20% of the infrastructure—Active Directory, business apps, websites, proxies—then expanded to firewalls, antiviruses and other security elements) to collect and correlate logs across the estate. The LogPoint solution reduced average incident resolution and forensic analysis time by 80–90%, cut some log searches from hours to minutes, uncovered new threat indicators missed by existing controls, and freed up resources for more value‑adding projects.
