Virtual Bavarian American Football – video conferencing solutions at AFVBy

The American Football Verband Bayern (AFVBy) was forced to cancel over 100 in-person events in 2020, threatening its operations and the flow of information to its 60 clubs. The sporting association needed a robust digital communication plan to continue training, meetings, and collaboration virtually. They turned to vendor Logitech for a hardware solution to meet this challenge.

The solution combined Logitech's Brio 4K webcams and Zone Wireless headsets with Zoom software. This setup provided the stable bandwidth and high-quality video necessary for detailed analysis of football moves and reliable connectivity for all clubs. The implementation was a success; in April 2021 alone, AFVBy held 532 virtual meetings with nearly 1,300 participants, totaling over 98,000 minutes, ensuring the association's operations continued without disruption.
