Case Study: Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep improves patient communication with Logitech Workstation on Wheels

The Workstation on Wheels helps patients communicate better with their doctor and those at home

Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep (NWZ) faced a challenge in enabling communication for severely ill or isolated patients during extended hospital stays, especially as COVID-19 made in-person visits difficult. These patients often lacked the strength or ability to use personal devices. To address this, the hospital worked with vendor Logitech and an alliance of partners to implement a mobile telehealth solution.

The solution implemented by Logitech was the Workstation on Wheels (WoW), a mobile cart equipped with Logitech's MeetUp conference camera and Tap Scheduler for one-touch operation. This allowed patients to easily make secure video calls to loved ones and enabled doctors to conduct group discussions with family. The results included high adoption by nursing staff, seamless technical integration into the existing Wi-Fi network, and improved communication between all parties. Logitech's technology helped NWZ keep patients connected while allowing clinical staff to maintain their focus on care quality.
