How Does the Biggest CPG Company in the World Handle Last Mile Delivery

The Consumer Packaged Goods Company, one of the largest CPG retail chains in the United States with more than 2,000 stores, faced major last-mile logistics challenges across its omni-channel network. Its operations were affected by delayed replenishment, poor route and schedule planning, limited visibility into store deliveries, weak support for partial deliveries, and a lack of real-time status updates for managers and customers. To address these issues, it partnered with LogiNext and its MileTM platform.

LogiNext implemented MileTM to automate resource allocation, optimize routing and scheduling, support partial deliveries with transparent invoicing, and provide real-time tracking through a control tower-style dashboard. The results were significant: resource costs dropped 18%, resource utilization increased 30%, on-time deliveries rose 67%, delivery failures fell 47%, invoicing errors declined 83%, and total deliveries fulfilled increased 25%. Overall, LogiNext drove a 77.7% effectual cost benefit for the Consumer Packaged Goods Company.
