A Login VSI Case Study

Preview of the DHL Case Study

Global player in logistics enjoys the benefits of standardization

DHL, the global logistics leader, faced a massive IT-management challenge: 2,600 application servers across 350 locations, tens of thousands of virtualized users on Citrix Presentation Server, diverse endpoints and growing maintenance overhead. To standardize and automate operations, reduce costs and improve service agility, DHL selected Login VSI’s Login AM solution to automate deployment, change management and day-to-day maintenance.

Login VSI designed and delivered the Login AM architecture for DHL and drove the migration, delivering rapid standardization and automation. Results included a 25% smaller Citrix farm (about 800 servers now maintained by four operators), an 80% reduction in server build/rebuild time, global license pooling to cut Citrix licenses, only 2% incidents per 400 changes, and an ROI within 18 months with half the savings from the new management framework.
