Service Foods, one of New Zealand’s largest family-owned food service distributors importing from 20+ countries and handling thousands of SKUs for restaurants, bakeries, cafes and supermarkets, faced rapid growth, diversification and acquisitions that left it with sprawling Excel and proprietary reports and an over-customized ERP. The company lacked a scalable way to analyze data to support expansion, manage inventory and measure sales and onboarding costs as staff numbers increased.
Logility delivered a local, scalable analytics platform—implemented first in Sales via a train-the-trainer rollout and expanded to ~100 users—that consolidated 12,000 SKUs into a single dashboard refreshed eight times daily. The solution automated reporting, provided role-based access and a common vocabulary for non-technical and power users, and produced actionable insights (for example, revealing that 20 new accounts open weekly and eight never order and identifying rising inventory for slow movers), enabling faster, data-driven decisions to support growth.
