Amount, a Chicago-based fintech that spun off from a digital lending company, needed to establish independent control processes, infrastructure, and audit readiness as a standalone provider. Preparing for Type 2 SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, Amount’s Operational Risk team faced time-consuming audits, duplicated evidence requests, and limited control over auditor-managed systems — so they engaged LogicGate and adopted the Risk Cloud SOC 2 Management Application to build a mature, automated controls program.

LogicGate implemented Risk Cloud to centralize controls, map SOC 2 and NIST frameworks, automate evidence collection and control-owner attestations, and enable continuous controls monitoring. As a result, Amount completed its first independent automated SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit (fall 2020), attained Type 2 SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications, reduced duplicate audit effort, saved time and resources, and achieved audit maturity with a single repository and ongoing monitoring that improved efficiency across teams.
