The University of Wolverhampton faced a challenge with its legacy IT infrastructure, which lacked the agility to meet rising performance demands and dynamic service requests. To support its Digital Campus programme, the university partnered with Logicalis for an IT transformation project to create a flexible and secure platform for future innovation.

Logicalis implemented a Hybrid IT solution architected with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and VMware technologies. This resulted in an 83% reduction in the cost of creating and operating a virtualized server, £33,000 in savings from retiring legacy applications, and environmental savings from decreased cooling needs. The platform also enabled the university to automate service provisioning and was integral to the launch of a new campus.
