TS Tech USA, a manufacturer of automobile seats operating on a strict just-in-time production schedule, faced a communication challenge with a legacy Nortel PBX system. The outdated system could not support their highly mobile workforce, tying each phone number to a single location and creating bottlenecks. The company turned to vendor Logicalis for a solution, which involved implementing a new Cisco Unified Communications system.

Logicalis designed and deployed a complete IP telephony solution, including high-availability Cisco clusters and 170 new IP phones, over a single weekend to avoid production disruption. The new system provided immediate mobility, allowing users to simply plug their phones into any jack. As a result, the IT team eliminated a major operational bottleneck. The project was part of a larger infrastructure overhaul by Logicalis, which gave TS Tech USA a scalable platform for future growth and new capabilities like WebEx conferencing.
