Paradise Valley connects with Logicalis to build the largest district-wide wireless network in the nation for a school district

The Paradise Valley Unified School District, a large K-12 district in Arizona, faced the challenge of creating a cost-effective and reliable network to connect its 47 campuses spread over 98 square miles. Its existing T-1 lines were expensive and lacked the bandwidth needed for modern applications. Partnering with vendor Logicalis, the district sought to build its own private wide-area network (WAN) to ensure future-proofed connectivity.

Logicalis designed and implemented a secure, high-capacity wireless network using Ceragon FibeAir links. The solution provided gigabit and high-speed duplex connections to campuses, enabling the district to leverage its existing Cisco infrastructure for new IP telephony (VoIP) and video services. The Logicalis solution achieved 99.999% reliability, eliminated inter-campus call costs, and provided a strong return on investment, ultimately creating the largest district-wide wireless network in the nation at the time.
