SCIRT Leverages Logi Analytics to Analyze Infrastructure Rebuild Progress After Earthquake

The Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team (SCIRT) was formed to manage the repair and rebuild of Christchurch’s horizontal infrastructure after the 2010–2011 earthquakes, delivering a NZ$2.2B programme across more than 700 projects. SCIRT relied on multiple disparate systems, SSRS reports and spreadsheets, which produced out‑of‑date and mistrusted information — a critical problem given tight delivery deadlines and the need for timely, accurate decision‑making.

SCIRT rebuilt its data warehouse on a standard Microsoft stack and deployed Logi Info to create HiViz, a bespoke reporting and analysis platform that integrates GIS, enforces security via Active Directory, and serves about 450 users. HiViz replaced legacy reports with real‑time, easy‑to‑use views, sped report turnaround from hours to minutes, automated complex calculations, and became a trusted single source of truth for financials, schedules and program performance.
