A Loggly Case Study
Vroom, the world’s largest online car store, runs a cloud-native microservices e-commerce platform serving 150,000 customers with a 25-person engineering team. As the company scaled—especially after acquiring Texas Direct Auto—it needed reliable, scalable log management to monitor critical flows (payments, vehicle activity, API calls), quickly detect and resolve errors across services, and avoid building and maintaining its own logging infrastructure.
Vroom uses Loggly as its cloud-based log management service, sending application entry points, API interactions, exceptions and payment events via the Loggly REST API and providing a pre-built logging layer for developers. By using targeted alerts and centralized logs, the team sped up troubleshooting and onboarding, scaled without provisioning servers, reduced operational spend, and stayed focused on its core business of selling cars.
