A Loggly Case Study
XAPPmedia, a leader in interactive audio advertising, migrated its entire environment to Docker-based microservices on Amazon ECS and faced the challenge of centralizing log data for reliable troubleshooting. With containers moving across the cluster and SSH access locked down for security, the team needed a way to collect and identify logs by container, service, and instance to maintain visibility and operational control.
The company centralized all stdout/stderr output in Loggly (forwarded via rsyslog) and implemented tagging per container, service, and instance, plus alerts routed to developers and ad ops (via email and Slack) and integrations with Datadog. The result was standardized diagnostics, much faster troubleshooting (tasks that once took an hour now take minutes or seconds), proactive monitoring that prevents business impact, reduced MTTR, and the ability to debug issues anywhere.
