Innotas, a cloud-based provider of IT project and application portfolio management, faced a scaling challenge: a growing customer base and multiple Apache Tomcat–hosted applications but a small operations team. Engineers needed to diagnose customer issues, monitor activity in real time, and correlate logs with databases without granting broad access to production servers, a process that previously required pulling days of log files for QA to sift through.

Innotas selected Logentries to centralize and analyze logs from its AWS/Apache infrastructure, giving developers and QA read-only, real-time visibility across the entire stack. The team now monitors and debugs customer issues, tracks email volumes, and tunes individual integrations more effectively, enabling faster resolutions, fewer manual procedures, and about five hours saved in troubleshooting each week, with plans to expand proactive monitoring using custom tags.
