Ada, a company specializing in AI-powered customer service, faced significant challenges with Kubernetes testing. Their developers, many of whom were not Kubernetes experts, were struggling with inefficient testing processes that involved sharing clusters and scheduling time, which hindered productivity. They sought a solution from vendor Loft Labs to enable easier testing without requiring deep Kubernetes knowledge.

Loft Labs implemented vCluster to provide Ada with fast, ephemeral test environments. This solution allowed developers to independently provision their own virtual clusters for integration testing and development on demand. The results were substantial, leading to a reported 10x increase in developer productivity. The integration also provided significant cost savings by allowing namespaces to be deleted or put to sleep when not in use.
