Case Study: Air Zermatt improves pilot training and flight safety with Loft Dynamics’ VR simulator

A Loft Dynamics Case Study

Preview of the Air Zermatt Case Study

Mountain rescue pioneer Air Zermatt is using Loft Dynamics’ training device to train and check their pilots

Air Zermatt, a mountain rescue service with a 55-year history of innovation, needed a safe and efficient way to train and check its pilots in high-risk, low-speed maneuvers without the operational risks and fuel costs of using a real helicopter. They turned to Loft Dynamics and implemented its VR simulator, specifically an Airbus H125 model, to address this challenge.

The solution from Loft Dynamics utilized high-resolution VR and a head-mounted display to create a highly realistic training environment where pilots could practice critical procedures below 30 knots and in various weather conditions without any risk. This resulted in significantly enhanced flight safety, reduced planning uncertainties, and a more cost-effective and efficient training program. An experienced flight instructor at Air Zermatt declared it the best simulator he had ever flown.
