Show Boat Villa, a family-owned single-property rental in the Outer Banks, needed a way to compete beyond the traditional local agencies that dominate the market. Concerned that not listing with an agency would disadvantage them, the owners wanted a branded online presence to attract direct bookings and simplify channel distribution. They chose Lodgify’s website builder and channel manager to create a professional site and link their calendar and rates to major booking sites.

With Lodgify, Show Boat Villa launched a custom, easy-to-manage website, synchronized listings with Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway and Vrbo, and used Lodgify’s live support during setup. The result was steadily increasing revenue since launching in 2018, regular direct bookings from Google search, Airbnb as a top-performing channel, and being booked for 18 weeks by March of their first full season—without discounts—setting them up to be more profitable in 2019.
