FM Logistic adds 46 bots and scales 30-50% with Locus Robotics

The customer, FM Logistic, a major third-party logistics provider, faced the challenge of needing a highly flexible and scalable automation solution for a new greenfield facility in Poland. They required this to support expected customer growth of 30-50% and to improve upon the productivity levels of conventional manual processes, all within a very tight nine-month implementation timeframe. To meet this challenge, they turned to vendor Locus Robotics.

Locus Robotics implemented its warehouse execution platform, deploying 46 autonomous mobile robots (LocusBots). The solution was chosen for its ability to get up and running quickly and for its Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, which allows for smooth capacity increases. The results included a quick implementation, improved training time for new associates, and the ability to easily increase capacity. The bots also provided an advantage by displaying picking instructions in each associate's preferred language, including English, Polish, and Ukrainian.
