Thingvellir National Park launches a free GPS hiking guide app in 2 stores with Locatify

The customer, Thingvellir National Park, an Icelandic UNESCO World Heritage site, faced the challenge of providing visitors with an easy-to-use guide app for safely exploring its many hiking trails and learning about its history. They partnered with vendor Locatify to implement a solution using the Automatic Tour Guide template.

Locatify's solution involved customizing the template with the park's own branding and using their CMS to create GPS-enabled hiking trails and points of interest. The resulting app provides a complete guide experience for park visitors. The app was made available for free download on both Android and iOS devices through the Locatify App Store and Play Store.
