Snorrastofa launches indoor and outdoor audio guides with Locatify

Snorrastofa, a cultural and medieval centre in Reykholt, Iceland, needed to create an engaging multimedia guide to help guests engage with its museum exhibits and the surrounding historic township. The challenge was to illuminate the tales of the historic figure Snorri Sturluson and provide a GPS guide for the outdoor area. They partnered with Locatify to address this using its "Automatic Tourist Guide" template.

Locatify created a custom Android and iOS app featuring treasure hunt games, audio guides, and points of interest. The solution included both a permanent outdoor GPS guide and a temporary indoor UWB audio guide for exhibitions. The customer found Locatify's CMS very easy to use for updating content. The project manager confirmed that customers were very lucky to experience the guidance of a storyteller through the app and that the museum looks forward to a full indoor installation.
